"res ad triarios venit"
Going to the Triarii.

Triarii were the elite military of the early Roman reform, they were the last line of Rome, which in turn inspired the quote res ad triarios venit, which means Going to the Triarii. The quote it's self means Going to the bitter end, which is why I tought this would be a fitting title.

I chose to take this shot because I have always been inspired by the early Roman Empire and I like strategy and battle tactics so I found this would be a great shot for me to take. I took this shot in my Opa's barn, there was a big window behind "me" (the camera). I took this shot using a tripod and a remote, before the shot was taken I would drop the remote on the ground before it fired.

Historical accuracy's
The coins on the table were actually replica Roman Denarii, that were dated to the time of the map (3rd Century). The Romans also used a compass tool on my right. The Shield has a special design on it, the arrows (lightning) represents the shocking speed of the Roman army the lines on its sides mean there is always a bigger wave (line of troops), and the wings represent the flourishment of Rome. There is also the Roman flag behind me which you can only partually see.  The Gladius on my side was located on  my right side, in midevil movies you see knights take out their sword from their left side if they are right handed, however the Romans took their sword out from their right side if they were left or right handed because it was much safer to the people around them.

Me

Odyssey

I chose to take a shot of myself wearing my aviators because I am always out in the world. I like to explore, and see the world. I am standing outside of my house, because I dont let people hold me back but I also like going home too. This shot was taken by my Dad, it was an overcast day so the ambiant lighting was quite blue.
This is a fairly straight forward shot of my self.
